Who We Are
Jessica Kay
Owner/Medical Aesthetician
Jessica is our Owner/Operating Manager at The Aesthetics Room. She is also a Medical Aesthetician, providing some of our specialized treatments.
Jessica started her career in 2015 at Lancaster School of Cosmetology, where she obtained her Pennsylvania State License in Esthetics. She found a niche and passion for Lash Extensions and started her own business, Jessentials (Je-ssentials), in 2018. She still maintains her book of lash clients today. In 2021, she went to Zazen Beauty in West Chester, Pa to get certified in Microblading. If you are looking for beautiful, semi-permanent brows, she will be the one taking care of you! Recently, Jessica had the opportunity to transition her small esthetics business into a fully functioning Med Spa, The Aesthetics Room. She wanted the new business to have a broad name to include multiple people and career paths, all with a similar passion- aesthetics. Planning to expand in the future, she wants to maintain the name "The Aesthetics Room," to remember where her Med Spa journey began; in a single-shared room. Working in a medical setting has been a dream-come-true for Jessica. She hopes to bring some of the best treatments to her community and provide a comfortable atmosphere and experience for everyone. Her faith reminds her to "be strong and courageous," (Joshua 1:9) and after a long day of business, her favorite thing to do is spend quality time with her family, her husband, Derek, and her son, Major.
Nakia Williams
CRNP, Aesthetic Injector
Nakia is our Aesthetic Injector at The Aesthetics Room. She has been in Nursing for 25 years. Nakia started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant while attending nursing school. She became a Registered Nurse in 2004 and has worked in surgical intensive care, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn units. After 14 years working as a bedside registered nurse, she returned to school to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing degree and became a Board-Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in family medicine in 2020. While working part-time as a plus-sized model, her love for beauty emerged. She attended the BEAT School of Makeup Artistry in Baltimore MD and became a Certified Makeup Artist in 2011. She loved to enhance one’s natural beauty with her makeup artistry and seeing how her clients would gain self-confidence after she did their makeup. Nakia recently combined her love of aesthetics and healthcare and started working as an Aesthetics Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She wants to help every person accentuate their best features. Her goal is not to change the way a person looks but to change the way they feel. In her free time, she loves to experience new places and cultures with her family and friends.
Katie Blaise
Cosmetologist, Medical Aesthetician
Katie is one of our Medical Aestheticians here at The Aesthetics Room. She started her career at Empire Beauty school in 2016, obtaining her State License for Cosmetology. Upon graduation, she created a career in freelance hair and makeup, particularly for weddings. Katie recently trained with Jessica at Jessentials (Je-ssentials) to add Lash Extensions to her trade. If you are looking for beautiful lashes for a special occasion or just for an every-day look, Katie will be the one to take care of you! She loves helping people look and feel their best and looks forward to providing the new Med Spa treatments to her clientele. Her favorite treatment is Laser Hair Removal! Outside of work, her hobbies include dancing and spending time with her family and two daughters. She taught dance at Light of Life Performing Arts for many years and feels blessed to share her love for dance with her girls.
Ayden Stroup
Medical Aesthetician
Ayden began her career at Shears Cosmetology School in 2023, obtaining her Pennsylvania State Esthetician License. Becoming a Medical Aesthetician has been a dream of Ayden’s and she can’t wait to begin her journey and dive into the never-ending knowledge that awaits her. Ayden specializes in Dermaplaning and relaxing facials. Her favorite treatments are Microneeding and Dermaplaning! Her career goal is to help her clients obtain confidence within themselves and love the skin they’re in! Aside from working and learning all about the world of Aesthetics, she enjoys spending time with her family and her fur babies, going on hikes, and traveling to new places!
